The Products and Services - New/Update window lets you add a new a product or service or modify an existing product or service. To open the Products and Services - New/Update window, under Administration on the Portico Explorer Bar, click Customization. On the Customization top menu bar, click Lists, then click Products and Services. The Products and Services - List window appears.

  • To add a new a product or service, click New to open the Products and Service - New window.
  • To modify an existing product or service, click the product code or description to open the Products and Services - Update window.

Complete the following steps to add or update a product or service.

  1. Click the Type down arrow to select the type of product: Certificate, External, Loan, Service or Share.
  2. In the Code field, enter 3-character alphanumeric credit union-defined code associated with the product or service.
  3. Enter the description of the product or service in the Description field. The description can be up to 40 alphanumeric characters. Using the Description field, you can customize the names of selected services. The Available Products and Services box on the New Members & Services Member Request tab will display this description.
  4. Click the Selling down arrow to select the selling status of the product or service: Yes or No. The Selling field must be Yes to make the product or service available for selling. Portico will also track the sale for incentives, regardless if the member is reviewed for sales opportunities through Cross Sell and Tracking.
  5. Click the Product Group down arrow to select the product group in which the product or service belongs.
  6. If the Type field is Service, click the Service down arrow to select the service type.
  7. If the Type field is Certificate or Share, click the IRA down arrow to select an IRA type.
  8. If the Type field is Share, click the Share Class down arrow to select the share type. Then, click the Share Draft down arrow to indicate if the product is a share draft account.
  9. Click Save to save the product or service and close the window.

Click Cancel to close the window without saving the product or service.

In order for a specific share or share draft type to be included in the bundle on the Products and Services window, you must set up the account type correctly on the Products and Services – Update window. For share types, you must select a classification from the Share Class drop-down list on the Products and Services – Update window. For share draft types, you must select Yes from the Share Draft drop-down list on the Products and Services – Update window.
