Adding or Updating a Bundle
The Bundle - Update/New window let you create customized bundles that can be offered in New Members & Services. Bundles containing specific products and services can be assigned to a new member helping you streamline the new member origination process and ensure that all the appropriate products and services are set up for the member. You can create a variety of bundles. For example, a Digital Member bundle may include savings, checking, debit card, online banking, bill pay, and electronic statements. A Student bundle might include student checking, debit card and online banking. A Senior bundle could include money market savings, checking, ATM, audio response and a certificate.
To access the Bundle – Update/New window, click Customization under the Administration menu on the Portico Explorer Bar. On the Customization menu bar, click Processes, then click New Member Bundling Products & Services. The Bundle - List window will appear.
To edit a bundle, click the bundle description. The Bundle – Update window will appear when you update an existing bundle.
To add a new bundle, click New. The Bundle – New window will appear. To add a new bundle by copying an existing bundle, select the bundle row and click Copy. The Bundle – New window will appear.

Complete the following steps to add or update a new bundle:
- To create a new bundle, enter a description for the bundle up to 30 characters in the Name field. The bundle name will appear in the list of available bundles in New Members & Services. To update an existing bundle, select the bundle from the Bundle Name drop-down list, then click the green arrow to maintain the bundle. You can change the name of the bundle by entering a new description the Name field above the bundle content box.
- The Shares (S) box lists all of the credit union’s active share types. Select the share types and click the right arrow to add them to the bundle. The share types are listed in share type order. At the end of the list, eight generic share options appear: Coverdell IRA Share, Escrow Share, Holiday Club, Money Market Share, Other Club, Roth IRA Share, Share, and Traditional IRA Share. If you select a generic share option, your employees can select a specific share type from the drop-down list on the New Share tab during the new member origination process.
- The Certificates (C) box lists all of the credit union’s active certificate types. Select the certificate types and click the right arrow to add them to the bundle. The certificate types are listed in certificate type order. At the end of the list, four generic certificate options appear: Certificate, Coverdell IRA Certificate, Roth IRA Certificate, and Traditional IRA Certificate. If you select a generic certificate option, your employees can select a specific certificate type from the drop-down list on the Certificate tab during the new member origination process.
- The Share Drafts (D) box lists all of the credit union’s active share draft types. Select the share drafts and click the right arrow to add them to the bundle. The share draft types are listed in share type order. At the end of the list, two generic share draft options appear: Money Market Share Draft and Share Draft. If you select a generic share draft option, your employees can select a specific share draft type from the drop-down list on the New Share tab during the new member origination process.
- The Services (P) box contains all the services offered by the credit union. Select one or more services from the box and click the right arrow to add them to the bundle.
- Select the Active check box to make the bundle available in New Members & Services. Once active, the bundle name entered in the Name field will appear in the list of available bundles in New Members & Services. The Active column will display Y on the Bundle - List window. If the Active check box is not selected, N will appear in the Active column on the Bundle - List window.
- Select the Allow Bundle Modification check box to allow your employees to remove products or services from the bundle during the new member origination process.
- Click Apply to save the bundle and remain on the Bundle - Update window. Click Save to save the bundle and return to the Bundle – List window.
Click Cancel to cancel your changes to the bundle and return to the Bundle – List window.
The bundle box on the right of the window lists the products and services included in the bundle. The products and services listed determines which sub-tabs will be available for completion under the Services Detail tab in New Members & Services. To remove a product or service from the bundle, select the product or service and click the left arrow to move it back to the Shares (S) box, Certificates (C) box, Share Drafts (D) box, or Services (P) box. You can add or remove products and services from a bundle that has been assigned to several new account applications currently in progress. The individual products and services will still appear in the Member Elected Products and Services box even if the original bundle has been modified.
Three permissions are included in the Portico - Customization - Administrator security group to control access to the Bundle – Update/New window.

Users must be assigned to the Portico - Customization - Administrator security group to view and maintain the Bundle – Update/New window. You can also add the permissions to a credit union-defined security group using the Security Group Permissions – Update window.
