To copy the plan criteria currently displayed to a new relationship plan, enter a new priority, plan code and plan name where indicated and click Copy. If you forget to change the priority prior to clicking Copy, you must delete the plan and re-copy the plan in order to change the priority.

Complete the following information to set up or modify the qualification criteria for a specific relationship plan.

Status

The status of the Relationship Pricing plan. The valid values are:

A - Active. The plan is active and will run on the frequency specified in the Frequency field on the Relationship Pricing Plans window and the benefits associated with this plan will be applied to the enrolled members. System default.

Q - Qualify the member for enrollment in the plan by updating the Qualified Plan Information group box on the Relationship Pricing Plan dialog box. To enroll the member in the plan, you must manually update the Current Plan Information group box on the Relationship Pricing Plan dialog box. Once the Current Plan Information group box is updated, the member is eligible for the plan's benefits. You may want to use this option if you require that the member sign-up for the plan. A notice can be generated notifying the member they have qualified for a plan.

Priority

The priority of the Relationship Pricing plan. Priority determines the order of importance between the plans. Priorities occur in ascending order, starting with 01. You can manually rearrange the pricing priorities as you like. If a member qualifies for more than one plan, the plan priority determines which plan the member is enrolled in. If a member is in more than one plan, the member will only be active in the plan with the highest priority. The member will remain in the plan with the lower priority but the status for this plan for this member will be inactive. If the member no longer qualifies for the higher priority plan and qualifies for the lower priority plan then the higher priority plan becomes inactive and the lower priority plan becomes active. A plan for a member can always be manually deleted.

The valid values are 01-98.

Additional Cashier's Check Qualification Criteria

An additional qualification criteria at the credit union level is available for the cashier's check or credit union check fee benefit. The Free Item Balances field and Combined Minimum Balance field on the Credit Union Profile - Products & Services tab allow you to define a minimum combined account balance that must be met before a member qualifies for the cashier's check or credit union check Number of Items Free benefit. The Free Item Balances field can be set to N – Not Supported, S – Shares Only, or B – Shares and Certificates. The Combined Minimum Balance field can be 0.00 up to a maximum of 999999.99.

  • If the Free Item Balances field is N, Portico will not check the member’s combined balance amount before allowing the member to receive the Number of Items Free benefit.
  • If the Free Item Balances field is S, Portico will calculate the combined balance amount using the member's share account balances of 0.00 or greater. If the combined balance is greater than the amount in the Combined Minimum Balance field, the member qualifies for the Number of Items Free benefit.
  • If the Free Item Balances field is B, Portico will calculate the combined balance amount using the member's share account and certificate balances of 0.00 or greater. If the combined balance is greater than the amount in the Combined Minimum Balance field, the member qualifies for the Number of Items Free benefit.

If your credit union uses master code GKCU for credit union checks, you can use the credit union-level fee benefit requirement for both cashier's checks and credit union checks.

If the member’s Relationship Pricing plan includes a number of items free benefit for cashier’s checks or credit union checks based on a combined total balance requirement, Portico will evaluate the member's account balance to determine if the member qualifies for free checks. If the member does not meet the combined balance requirement for free cashier’s checks, the Transaction Fee dialog box will indicate that there are 0 free items available. If the member's combined balance is equal to or greater than the required balance amount to receive free cashier’s checks, the Transaction Fee dialog box will indicate that there are free items available. If the member's combined balance is equal to or greater than the required balance amount to receive free cashier’s checks, but the member has used all the free items, the Transaction Fee dialog box will display the discounted fee (if the Items Free & New Amount fee benefit was selected).
