Customizing System-Defined Fee Messages

The System Defined Fees window lets you customize system-defined fee messages. The statement code information is used on the Adjustments – Share Withdrawal to General Ledger tab and Adjustments – Certificate Withdrawal to General Ledger tab when charging a fee. To access the System Defined Fees window, on the Portico Explorer Bar, click Tools under the Administration menu. On the Tools menu bar, click Messages, point to Fees, then click System Defined Fees.
How do I? and Field Help
Click the System Defined Fees option to view the Portico fee messages. Click the Credit Union Defined Fees option to view the fee messages your credit union can customize.
Click the left and right arrow to scroll through the list of fees.
| Column Heading | Description |
|---|---|
| Stmt Code | The 2-character statement code |
| Txn Code | The Portico host transaction code associated with the fee. |
| Description | The statement description |
| ATM/POS/Audio | Indicates of the fee message will appear on self service devices and the length of the message. |
| Message Type | The type of message: system-defined or credit union-defined |
| Draft | Indicates if the fee will be assessed from a share draft account or a non-share draft account |
To change the description of a system-defined fee, enter the new description and click Save.
To access the System Defined Fees window, users must be assigned to the Portico - Tools - Messages security group or you can add these permissions to a credit union-defined security group using the Security Group Permissions – Update window.
