Closing Another Teller
You can bypass close and balance another teller if you have the appropriate security group.
How do I?
A Teller field will appear on the following tabs:
- Open
- Balancing and Close
- Teller Journaling - Inquiry
Your teller ID will automatically appear in the Teller field; however, you can change the teller ID to another teller so you can perform tasks and monitor the activity of another teller.
To access the Teller field, users must be assigned to the Portico - TlrMgmt - Maintain Tellers security group or you can add the Portico - User Can Perform Other Teller Task and Activities permission to a credit union-defined security group using the Security Group Permissions – Update window.
Users belonging to a security group with the TlrMg - Balancing and Close - Cleared Amount - Maintain security permission and Portico - User Can Perform Other Teller Task and Activities security permission can change the Teller Pending On-Us Check Cleared Amount field to 0.00 for another teller and close the teller. You should only change the On-Us Check Cleared Amount field to 0.00 when you are attempting to a close a teller that did not close the previous night. If you are closing a teller on the same day as the teller was opened and an amount other than 0.00 appears in the On-Us Check Cleared Amount field, the transaction was not reversed correctly and additional maintenance is needed.
