The Account Transfer window lets you transfer an account from the original collection officer to a new collection officer. Use the Account Transfer window to transfer loans and shares from one collection officer to another collection officer. Use the Account Assignment window to assign a new collection officer to a loan or share on the same day it is transferred to Automated Collections. On the Collections – Administration menu bar, click Maintenance, then click Account Transfer to open the Account Transfer window.

The Account Transfer window lets you transfer an account from the original collection officer to a new collection officer.

Column Heading Description
Member Number

The member number associated with the account.

Length: 12 numeric

Type The type of account: Share, Loan, Credit (credit card) or Mtg (vendor mortgage loan).
Account ID

The corresponding account ID (share type, loan note number, last six digits of the vendor mortgage loan, last seven digits of a member's credit card number).

The credit card number appears if the credit card balance has reached the amount indicated on the CC Delinquent Amount field on the Loan Profiles - Collections/Late Charges tab.

The share type appears if the share balance has reached the negative amount indicated in the Collections Amount field on the Share Profiles - Account Information tab.

The vendor mortgage number appears when the next payment due date plus the grace days is less than the current cycle date.

Loan Type

The loan type associated with the delinquent loan in Collections.

Length: 2 alphanumeric

New Collections ID

To assign or reassign an account, enter the new collection officer assigned to the loan or share in the New ID column.

New Branch

Enter the branch number associated with the collection officer in the New Branch column.

Old Collections ID

The ID of the collection officer previously assigned to the specified loan/share.

Old Branch

The branch associated with the collection officer previously assigned to the specified loan/share.

Length: 3 numeric

Message

Indicates if the system has successfully transferred a loan or a share from one collection officer to another collection officer. This message is generated by the system and may not be maintained. The valid values are:

Blank - Default

Transferred - Message for successful transfer

Length: 11 alphanumeric

To transfer a collection account to a new collection officer, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Member Number column, enter the member number associated with the account.
  2. Click the Type down arrow to select the type of account: Share, Loan, Credit or Mtg.
  3. In the Account ID column, enter the corresponding account ID (share type, loan note number or the last seven digits of a member's credit card number).
  4. If the account is a delinquent loan, enter the 2-character loan type in the Loan Type column. The loan type is optional.
  5. In the New Collections ID column, enter the ID of the new collection officer assigned to the loan or share by the collections supervisor.
  6. Then, enter the branch number associated with the collection officer in the Branch column.
  7. Click Save to save the transfer. The old collection ID, branch and message will appear.

Click Clear to clear the Account Transfer grid.
