Demographic Plan - Update

How do I? and Field Help

Complete the following steps to set up a new demographic plan:

  1. In the Code field, enter a unique credit union-defined code to identify the demographic plan (Length: 7 alphanumeric). Required field.
  2. In the Name field, enter the credit union-defined name of the demographic plan (Length: 40 alphanumeric). Required field.
  3. Click the Status down arrow to select the status of the demographic plan: Active or Inactive. The system default is Active.
  4. Click the Start down arrow to select the start date for the demographic plan from the calendar or enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format. For new demographic plans, the system default is today's date.
  5. Click the Expire down arrow to select the end date for the demographic plan from the calendar or enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format. After the expiration date is reached, the plan will no longer be available regardless if the Status drop-down is Active. If left blank, the plan will be available as long as the Status drop-down is Active.
  6. In the Account Type group box, select the Business Account check box to include members with business accounts in the demographic plan. Business accounts do not require a minimum or maximum age. Select the Personal Account check box to include members with personal accounts in the demographic plan. Business and Personal Account evaluation is based on the Taxpayer ID/Type fields on the Stmts/Reporting/Notices tab.
  7. If you selected the Personal Account check box, in the Cross sell based on age group box, enter the minimum age of the members that should be included in the demographic plan in the Minimum Age field. In the Maximum Age field, enter the maximum age of the members that should be included in the demographic plan (Length: 3 numeric). These fields only apply to personal accounts. Using the Birth Date field on the Contact Information tab, Portico will determine the difference between the current date and the birth date. If the member's age is within the age range specified, the member will be included in the demographic plan.
  8. In the Cross sell based on ZIP group box, select the Foreign Address check box to include members with foreign addresses in the demographic plan. In the Range From field, enter the beginning zip code in the range. In the Range To field, enter the ending zip code in the range (Length: 9 numeric or 10 alphanumeric if the Foreign Address check box is selected.). Members with a zip code that falls between the beginning and ending zip codes will be included in the demographic plan. Portico uses the ZIP field on the Contact Information tab to determine if the member's zip code falls within the range specified.
  9. Click Save to save changes to the demographic plan and close the window. Portico will review the information for errors. If no errors are found, Portico will save the demographic plan and close the window. If errors are found, an error message will appear prompting you to correct the necessary fields.

Click Cancel to close the window without saving the demographic plan.
