Setting Up a Non-90 Series Override Teller ID

Related Topics

The Teller Override field on the Credit Union Profile – Security tab allows non-90 series teller IDs to perform transactions normally requiring a 90 series teller ID. The Teller Override field allows you to set an individual override code for each teller plus specify the types of transactions they can perform based on their job function or experience level using the Teller Information window.

The non-90 series teller ID must click the teller override icon on the tool bar to display the Teller Override dialog box. Then, enter the teller override and click OK. The Teller Override field on the Credit Union Profile – Security tab also allows you to specify if the override code should be visible when it is entered on the Teller Override dialog box. Set the Teller Override field to Y to display the override code. Set the Teller Override field to X to not display the override code on some Portico transactions.

The Teller Information window lets you specify the teller's override code and authority level. The override code will not be visible.

To access the Teller Information window, click Administration within the Teller Management menu on the Portico Explorer Bar. On the Administration menu bar, click Teller, then click Teller Information.

To add a non-90 series override teller ID using the Teller Information window, enter the override code in the Override Code field required for the teller to perform transactions requiring override authority.

Then, in the Authority group box…

  • Select the All check box to allow the teller to override all transactions in Portico.
  • Select the Shares check box to allow the teller to override share transactions only.
  • Select the Loans check box to allow the teller to override loan transactions only.
  • Select the Certificates check box to allow the teller to override certificate transactions only.
