Teller Item Capture

Streamline check processing and bond redemption with check and savings bond capture through IMM Teller Item Capture. Portico provides integrated access to check and savings bond scanning. Checks and savings bonds are automatically added to the Check21 cash letter for the credit union. Plus, details from scanned checks populate the Portico Check Log, reducing data entry errors.

Implementation and Setup

If you are interested in implementing IMM Teller Item Capture at your credit union, contact your client partner to start the implementation process.

Once activated for your credit union, the Teller Item Capture check box will be selected on the Credit Union Profile - Products & Services tab. The Teller Item Capture URL field will contain the IMM Teller Item Capture URL specific to your credit union. You can update the Teller Item Capture URL field if your IMM Teller Item Capture URL changes.

If your credit union uses Teller Administration, you can only have one Checks Received product code on the From Information side of your customized transaction. You may need to remove any additional Checks Received product codes from your ALD - Deposits, Withdrawals, Payments, Transfers transaction using the Transaction Definition window.

Using the Application Profile dialog box, you can set up the scanner and teller item capture options for the teller workstation. Select the scanner in the Scanner Configuration group box, then complete the following information in the Teller Item Capture group box to set up Teller Item Capture.

Field	Description
Scan Checks Received	Select this check box to allow the teller to scan checks from the Check Log dialog box. Only valid if the Ranger Compatible Scanner option is selected.
Scan Savings Bond Received	Select this check box to allow the teller to scan bonds from the Bond Redemption dialog box. Only valid if the Ranger Compatible Scanner option is selected.
Credit Union-Level Teller Item Capture URL	Displays the IMM Teller Item Capture URL specific to your credit union from the Credit Union Profile - Products & Services tab.
Override Credit Union-Level Teller Item Capture URL	Select this check box to specify a different IMM Teller Item Capture URL for the workstation.
URL	The IMM Teller Item Capture URL specific for this workstation. Enabled when the Override Credit Union-Level Teller Capture URL check box is selected.

On the User Profile>Popups tab, Check Log is always selected and cannot be deselected when using Teller Item Capture integration. When selected, Portico requires Check Log for teller financial transactions when receiving checks.
