Question: How do I activate an inactive certificate?

Answer: To activate an inactive certificate, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Certificates – General tab, click the Maturity Date down arrow to select a future date from the pop-up calendar or enter the date in MM/DD/YYYY format.
  2. Complete a certificate add-on. Enter 0.00 in the To Information Amount field.

Now, you can surrender or maintain the certificate as needed.

 

Question: Why did I receive a partial surrender error message?

Answer: When attempting to surrender a whole certificate, Portico responds with a message indicating that it is a partial surrender. This error occurs when a previous surrender or an add-on transaction has been completed on the certificate.

 

Question: An incorrect message appears on the maturity notices (101/105 Report). What happened?

Answer: When an incorrect message appears on the Certificate Maturity Mailers Report 101 or Maturity Notices Report 105, there may be an error in the message stored at the credit union level. Access the Notice Messages window and review/update any messages stored for the Renewable/Non-Renewable CD Maturity Notices.
