Downloading the Update to the Directory

A self-extracting zip file containing the update release will be available prior to the production release day on www.porticousers.com on the Software Downloads page.

If you are a registered user of porticousers.com, you will be notified via email when the release is available. Download the self-extracting release file to the shared directory from the web site. You must download the release from the web site for each release and release correction.

Double-click the release file to extract the contents into the \Portico\PNGUpdates directory. A new folder will be created with the release number as the folder name. The release folder will contain 84 files and one Help folder.

Certain versions of Microsoft Windows Server block .chm help files as a security measure to prevent the spread of malicious code. After extracting the shared directory download on your server, you can unblock the PNGFieldHelp.chm help file. Open Windows Explorer. Then, right-click on the PNGFieldHelp.chm help file located in the \Shared Directory\5.XX.0.XX\Help directory and select Properties. At the bottom of the General tab, click Unblock, then click Apply.
