EFT Network-Specific Processing
Portico can identify ATM or POS transactions by originating network ID and enforce limits, apply processing options and assess fee amounts specific for that EFT network.
How does it work?
- Portico Client Services will complete the following setup steps:
- Add each originating network ID you wish to assign specific processing options, and associate it with a valid processing ID on the Portico host 95O Transaction.
- Add a default record on the host 9S5 Transaction that instructs EFT processing to look for the originating network ID and processing ID on the host 95O Transaction.
- Add one or more records on the EFT Processing Rules - ATM/Debit Processing Rules tab using the same processing IDs set up on the Portico host 95O Transaction. You can ask your service partner to enter specific fee amounts, define limits and select processing options for each record.
- When Portico receives the transaction data file from Fiserv Card Services, Portico will use the originating network ID to identify the processing ID and apply the limits, options, and fee amounts defined for the processing ID on the EFT Processing Rules - ATM/Debit Processing Rules tab.
If your credit union uses Relationship Pricing, you can also define fee benefits for network ATM, Point of Sale, and Signature Point of Sale transactions. Portico will examine the ATM or debit card transaction fees specified on the EFT Processing Rules - ATM/Debit Processing Rules tab for the originating network ID. If the fee amount is greater than zero, Portico will review the Relationship Pricing plan for the member for a new fee amount. If the new fee amount is less than the transaction fee specified on the ATM/Debit Processing Rules tab, Portico will assess the new fee amount from the Relationship Pricing plan.
