Processing Remote ATMs
The ACH Network uses Remote Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). Authorization of Remote ATM transactions is performed at the Network level. Portico posts the Remote ATM Network transactions through the ACH Table just like an ACH payroll or direct deposit.
Remote ATMs are set up using the Credit Union Profile – Self Service tab and ATM/Debit – PBF Processing Rules window.
Each day the Network holds ATM transactions until a specified time, then the Network transmits the Remote ATM transactions to File Exchange (XROADS). File Exchange (XROADS) transmits the transaction to be posted during the back-office cycle to the member's account. The Remote ATM transactions are reported at the credit union the next business day.
The most common codes used by the Remote ATM environment are:
22 - Automatic deposit to share draft account (75)
27 - Automatic withdrawal from share draft account (75)
32 - Automatic deposit to lowest numbered share type
37 - Automatic withdrawal from lowest numbered share type
45 - Line-of-credit loan advance (EFT)
46 - Line-of-credit loan reversal (memo item only) (EFT)
Line-of-credit loan advances are available if supported by the ATM network.
