Setting Up the ATM Cash Location
For credit unions using Cash Control, set up locations using the Location Information window for each credit union ATM machine and a correction location for the ATM intransit GL in branch 000.
Each Location Information window must have a type and an ID that is unique to the location.
For an ATM location, the Type field is always A and the ID field is credit union-defined (for example, ATM-01). The Inventory Maximum Cash and Shipment Maximum Cash fields must be completed for an ATM location. The Cash GL Account and Intransit GL Account fields should be the same as other cash locations.
For the correction location, the Type field is always C and the ID field is credit union-defined. The GL Account field in the Correction Location group box is the ATM intransit GL account number.
Once the locations are setup, complete the Authorized Cash Movements window and verify the ATM movements have been selected. Next, complete your normal credit union procedures for moving money into the vault. The amount of this transaction should match the amount of money that is loaded in the ATM.
