Understanding Draft Indicators

A draft indicator field appears on the following member tabs and dialog boxes to identify the type of draft account and how it will be processed.

Loans – Loan Drafts tab
Member Search dialog box
Shares – Draft Info tab
Draft Stop Pays dialog box

Incoming draft transactions are processed according to the draft indicator assigned by the system when the draft ID is entered on the Loans – Loan Drafts tab and/or the Shares – Draft Info tab.

Draft Indicator	Indicator Identifies This Type of Draft Account	And is processed
Shares	Share Draft Only. The member’s unique share draft ID is entered only on the Shares – Draft Info tab.	As a share draft regardless of serial number.
Loans	Loan Draft Only. The member’s unique loan draft ID is entered only on the Loans – Loan Drafts tab.	As a loan draft regardless of serial number.
Both	Both Share and Loan Draft. The loan draft ID entered on the Loans – Loan Drafts tab matches a share draft ID entered on the Shares – Draft Info tab.	According to serial number range: 1 - 8999 Share Draft 9000 - 9999 Loan Draft 10000-999999 Share Draft

Draft Indicator

Share Draft Only. The member’s unique share draft ID is entered only on the Shares – Draft Info tab.

As a share draft regardless of serial number.

Loans

Loan Draft Only. The member’s unique loan draft ID is entered only on the Loans – Loan Drafts tab.

As a loan draft regardless of serial number.

Both

Both Share and Loan Draft. The loan draft ID entered on the Loans – Loan Drafts tab matches a share draft ID entered on the Shares – Draft Info tab.

According to serial number range:

1 - 8999 Share Draft

9000 - 9999 Loan Draft

10000-999999 Share Draft
