Adding Machine

The Adding Machine dialog box provides an online calculator or adding machine you can use for calculations. To access the Adding Machine dialog box, click the adding machine icon on the top menu bar.
How do I? and Field Help
Addition
To add an amount, enter the amount and press ENTER. The amount appears in the Tape box. The Items field records the number of items entered into the adding machine, and the total appears in the Total field.
Subtraction
To subtract an amount, enter a number and then select the minus (-) sign. The number appears as a negative number. Then enter another number and select the equal (=) sign. The total appears in the Total field.
Multiplication
To multiply an amount, enter a number and then select the asterisk (*) sign followed by the number you are multiplying by. Then select the equal (=) sign.
Note: The total after multiplication appears in both the Tape box and the Total field. The Tape box does not display the multiplication steps.
Division
To divide an amount, enter a number and then select the slash (/) sign followed by the number you are dividing by. Then select the equal (=) sign.
Note: The total after division appears in both the Tape box and the Total field. The Tape box does not display the division steps.
To delete an amount, click the amount in the Tape box to highlight it and press DELETE.
Click Print to print the adding machine tape.
