Defining the Available Card Status Options

The ATM/Debit Card Status List window let you define the available card status options. To access the ATM/Debit Card Status List window, under Administration on the Portico Explorer Bar, click Customization. On the Customization menu bar, click Lists, then click ATM/Debit Card Status.

You can change the status descriptions and define which statuses should appear in the New Status drop-down list on the Change Status dialog box. The default status descriptions are:

0 - Inactive
1 - Active
2 - Lost Card
3 - Stolen Card
4 - Restricted Card
5 - Insufficient Funds
6 - Pre-Activated
7 - Reserved
8 - Expired
9 - Closed

To change a status description, enter a new description up to 40 characters long in the Description column and click Save. The new description will appear in the New Status drop-down list on the Change Status dialog box.

To prevent a status from appearing in the New Status drop-down list, clear/uncheck the Display check box next to the status code and click Save. The status will no longer appear in the New Status drop-down list on the Change Status dialog box.

Changes to the status descriptions will not affect card processing. For example, if the description for status code 3 is changed from Stolen Card to New Card, Portico will still consider this card to be a stolen card and will respond to authorizations with a stolen card response code.
