Defining Magnetic Card Formats

The Magnetic Card Formats window lets you define the types of cards allowed with your magnetic card reader. To access the Magnetic Card Formats window, under Administration on the Portico Explorer Bar, click Products/Services. On the Products/Services top menu bar, click Products, then click Magnetic Card Formats.

To add or maintain a card type, complete the following fields in the Magnetic Card Formats grid:

Column Heading	Description
Delete	Select the Delete check box and click Save to delete the format. Select the All check box to select the Delete check box for each row.
Sequence	The sequence of the card format.
Prefix	The card prefix.
Start	The starting digit of the card number.
Length	The length of the card number.
Card Type	Click the Card Type down arrow to specify the card type.

Click Save to save the card type. Click Cancel to cancel your changes.
