Reviewing the User List
The Users - List window lists Portico users, including user name, user ID, and status. From the Users - List window, you can add new users, assign users to a specific group, and define user restrictions.
To open the Users - List window, under Administration on the Portico Explorer Bar, select Security. On the Security top menu bar, select User Maintenance, and then select Users.

To display the user list by status, select the Status down arrow to select Active, Inactive, Suspended, or Delete Pending. Then, select the green arrow.
The Users - List window provides three export options:
- To export users, associated security groups, and permissions, select the Export Users, Associated Security Groups, and Permissions icon button to display the User Group Permission dialog box.
- To export users and associated security groups, select the Export Users and Associated Security Groups icon button.
- To export the contents of the grid, select the export icon in the grid header.

Fiserv Single Sign-In |
Displays Yes when a credit union employee enrolls in Fiserv Single Sign-In. You can use this column to identify employees that need to complete the enrollment process. |
Logged On |
Indicates if the user is currently logged on to Portico. |
Default BR/TLR |
The default branch and teller assigned to the user. |
Enforce BR/TLR |
Indicates if the user is assigned specific branch and teller combinations. |
Level |
The override level assigned to the user. A user must have a specific user level to override a lockout. |
Access Type |
The connection type used when the user last logged on to Portico: Private or Public. |
Date/Time |
The date and time the user last logged on to Portico. |
Station ID |
The workstation ID used when the user last logged on to Portico. |
IP Address |
The IP address used when the user last logged on to Portico. |
Select any of the column headings with an arrow to sort the grid in ascending or descending order by the column heading. The column heading with the bold arrow indicates the column the grid is currently sorted by.
Use the icon buttons at the bottom of the window to set up the user's preferences, security groups and more.
- To update the user's profile, select the user, and then select the User Profile icon button. The User Profile dialog box appears.
- To associate one or more branch/teller ID combinations for a specific user, select a row, and then select the Branch/Teller ID Assignment icon button. The Branch/Teller ID Assignments window appears.
- To define the restrictions for a user, select the user, and then select the Security Restrictions icon button. The Security Restrictions window appears.
- To assign a user to a user group, select the user, and then select the Security Groups icon button. The Security Groups window appears.
- To copy security groups from an existing user to one or more users, select the user, then select the Copy Security Groups icon button. The Security Groups Permissions – Copy window appears.
- To assign a user to an override/approval group, select the user, and then select the Override/Approval groups icon button. The Override/Approval Groups window appears.
- To define restricted accounts for a user, select the user, and then select the Employee Restrictions – Associated Accounts icon button. The Accounts Associated With window appears.
- To maintain a user's print profile, select the user, and then select the Print Profile Preferences icon button. The Print Profile - Preferences window appears.
- To associate multiple reports to a single user ID, select the user, and then select the My Reports icon button. The My Reports window appears.
- To copy a user’s My Reports list, select the user, and then select the My Reports Copy icon button. The My Reports – Copy window appears.
- To view a user's active assignments, select the user, and then select the Active User Assignments icon button. The Active User Assignments dialog box appears. These assignments must be reassigned before a user's status can be changed to delete pending.
To reset a user's password, select the user, and then select Reset Password. If a user is enrolled in Portico Single Sign-In, a credit union administrator can no longer reset the user's password. An error message appears if a credit union administrator selects the Reset Password button for an active user enrolled in Fiserv Single Sign-In. The user must use the Portico Self-Service Password Reset functionality to reset their password.
To close a user's active session, select the user, and then select Active Session to display the Active Session dialog box. The computer name associated with the user ID’s active session will appear. On the Active Session dialog box, select Close Active Session to close the active session for the user ID.
To modify the information for an existing user, select the name of the user to open the User - Update window.
To add a new user, select New. The User - New window appears for you to set up the new user.
You can also add a new user by copying an existing user.
To add a new user by copying an existing user, select the user on the Users - List window, then click Copy. The User - Copy window appears with the name of the user that the settings will be copied from. The fields on the User - Copy window will be blank except for the Title field, Session Time Out field, Time Zone field, and Daylight Savings Time check box (checked/unchecked). You can enter the new user’s information such as name, email address and user ID extension in the blank fields. You can click the User Status Report icon button to view details of the existing user’s data and confirm that this is the appropriate user from which to copy.
To complete the copy process, enter the new user’s information in the fields provided, then click Apply. Once you click Apply, Portico will copy the following settings to the new user and the window will change from User - Copy to User - Update:
- User Profile options*
- Print Profile – Preferences options (not including Signature Name field on Checks tab)
- Override/Approval Groups – user assignment
- My Reports selections
- Security Group - user assignment
- Security Restrictions
*The following information from the User Profile dialog box will not be copied to the new user:
- Teller default settings on User Profile – Security tab
- ID and passwords on User Profile – Logons tab
- Options from User Profile – Imported Files tab
- Default options from User Profile – My Queue tab if Owner/Department field is the user name
- Department level notification options from User Profile – My Queue tab
- Sound file selections, internal notification options, and external notification options from User Profile – My Queue tab
- Sound file selections from User Profile – Session Management tab
To delete a user, select the row of the user ID you want to delete, and then select Delete. If the user does not have any assigned tasks or additional associated history, the user will be deleted from Portico. If the user has assigned tasks that need to be reassigned to another user, the Active User Assignments dialog box will appear. If the user ID you are trying to delete is associated to New Member and Services history, Contact Manager history, or Cross Sell history, you will not be able to delete the user ID until the history is purged.
