Adding Statement Messages and Comments

The Messages tab lets you review and add comments about the member and statement messages. To access the Messages tab, under Member Services on the Portico Explorer Bar, click Member Information. The Contact Information tab appears on top. Click the Messages tab. Locate the member using the search tool on the top menu bar. Select the down arrow to select the search method, then enter the search criteria. Select the green arrow or press ENTER to locate the member.

To update comments or statement messages, complete the following fields as needed:

Field Description

Comments 1-9

Credit union-defined information or comments about the member. These fields can be customized using the Customized Fields window.

Length: 14 alphanumeric (Comments 1) or 10 alphanumeric (Comments 2-9)

Keywords: C1-C9

Statement Message

The customized message to print on the member's statement. The Print Statement Message check box must be selected in the Statement Options section on the Credit Union Profile - Member tab to print customized messages on member statements. All customized messages are detailed on the Name and Member Message Listing Report 015. If your credit union does not customize statement messages, this field can be used for miscellaneous information.

Length: 30 alphanumeric

Security Group: Member Services - User and Teller Advanced

Message

The credit union-defined internal message regarding this member. This message will appear on some member inquiries.

Length: 60 alphanumeric

Information 1-2

Additional credit union-defined information about the member. These fields can be customized using the Customized Fields window.

Click Save to save your changes to Portico.

To access and maintain a member's messages, users must be assigned to one of the following pre-defined security groups or you can create your own security groups. You can add these permissions to a credit union-defined security group using the Security Group Permissions – Update window.
