The following fields, check boxes, and buttons are found on the Online Banking Maintenance dialog box and the Service Details - Online Banking tab in New Members and Services.

Field/Check Box/Button Description

User ID

The online banking user ID. The member uses this ID for signing into online banking. A member may have multiple user IDs. A user ID must be unique within a credit union. The credit union defines the parameters allowed when creating a Virtual Branch user ID in the Virtual Branch Options section on the Credit Union Profile - Self Service tab.

Select a user ID from the drop-down list and click the green arrow to view the online banking profile.

TIN

The TIN drop-down lists the primary member and the names and taxpayer IDs of the online banking user's existing account relationships. To the link the taxpayer ID to the online banking profile, from the TIN drop-down list, select the taxpayer ID number of the online banking user. Portico partially masks taxpayer ID numbers.

Name

The name of the account relationship linked by taxpayer ID.

Link/Unlink

To link an account relationship by taxpayer ID to the user's online banking profile, select the taxpayer ID number of the online banking user or an account relationship from the TIN drop-down list. Then, click Link. The accounts that the member is associated with appear in the Account Access Permissions grid. Beneficial owner relationships will not appear. If you created a new user ID by copying an existing user ID, you can delete or unlink any relationships.

Click Unlink to remove the link by taxpayer ID. The Delete check box will be selected for the linked member listed in the Account Access Permissions grid, and the member will be removed from the grid when you click Save.

Change ID

Click Change ID to display the Change Existing Online Banking ID dialog box and change the ID.

Security Group: Member Services – User and Teller – Advanced

Delete ID

Click Delete ID to delete the Online Banking account ID.

Online Banking

The Online Banking check box will automatically be selected when you add a new user ID. Select this check box if the member will be using Online Banking.

Bill Pay

Select this check box if the member will be using Bill Pay.

This field is disabled if you use CheckFree with Virtual Branch.

Online Banking Start Date

Click the Online Banking Start Date down arrow to select the date the customer signed up for online banking from the pop-up calendar or enter a date in MM/DD/YYYY format. The date can be up to 45 days in the future. If left blank, the system date will appear in this field.

Bill Pay Start Date

Click the Bill Pay Start Date down arrow to select the date the customer signed up for Bill Pay from the pop-up calendar or enter a date in MM/DD/YYYY format. The date can be up to 45 days in the future. If left blank, the system date will appear in this field.

Last Change Date

The last date a change was made to the member's Online Banking/Bill Pay Maintenance dialog box.

By Teller/Branch

The teller number and corresponding branch of the teller who last maintained the member's Online Banking/Bill Pay Maintenance dialog box.

Reporting Analytics: Teller ID and Teller Branch (VB Customer subject in the Month-end Information/VB Usage folder and in the VB Customer subject in the Month-end Information/VB Customer Xref folder)

Last Used Date

The date the member last used their online banking ID to access Online Banking and/or Bill Pay. The Last Used Date field is updated when a member enrolls in online banking and when a member successfully logs into online banking, including when a user logs into online banking during Extended Service Mode (ESM) when the Portico system is unavailable during the back-office cycle.

Comment Codes

Click the down arrow to select the credit union-defined comment code.

Enrollment

The method used to enroll the member in Online Banking and/or Bill Pay. The valid values are:
I - Internet
M - Member Application via Teller
A - Member Application via Internet
T - Over-the-counter via Teller

Enrollment Date

The date the member enrolled in Online Banking and/or Bill Pay.

Fee Exempt

If checked, the member is exempt from online banking fees. The system also uses the Excluded check box in the Fee Information group box on the Shares - Fees/Charge Off tab to determine whether fees are assessed for the share type.

Quicken Direct

If checked, the member has access to Online Banking through Quicken Direct. This check box only appears if the Quicken field is Y on the 945 Report Rules.

Account Access Permissions grid

Click Add to manually add a member to the Account Access Permissions grid. Select the Delete All check box to delete all the members in the Account Access Permissions grid.

Column Heading Description

Delete

Select this check box to delete the member. You cannot delete the primary member or linked members in the in the Account Access Permissions grid. To remove a linked member, you must click Unlink.

Member Number

The account number of the member in the Account Access Permissions grid. To manually add a member to the Account Access Permissions grid, enter the member number or click the binocular icon to lookup a member.

Length: 12 numeric

Unlabeled

Indicates if the member listed is the primary member, a linked account relationship or manually added:

Asterisk - Primary member

Account Relationship icon - Member is an account relationship linked by taxpayer ID

Blank - Member was manually added to the Account Access Permissions grid

Member Name The name of the member listed in the Account Access Permissions grid
Inquiry Access

Indicates if the online banking user has inquiry access to the accounts of the member listed in the Account Access Permissions grid. For individuals added by member number, the Inquiry Access check box is automatically selected. For individuals added by tax ID, the Inquiry Access check box is automatically selected if:

  • the member listed is the primary member/online banking user
  • the member was linked by taxpayer ID and the account relationship of the online banking user to the member's account is Authorized Signer, Executor, Power of Attorney, Joint Owner, or Trustee.

Clear the check box to remove inquiry access to all the member's accounts.

Keyword: GI

Financial Access

Indicates if the online banking user has financial access to the accounts of the member listed in the Account Access Permissions grid. For individuals added by member number, the Financial Access check box is automatically selected. For individuals added by tax ID, the Financial Access check box is automatically selected if:

  • the member listed is the primary member/online banking user
  • the member was linked by taxpayer ID and the account relationship of the online banking user to the member's account is Authorized Signer, Executor, Power of Attorney, Joint Owner, or Trustee.

Clear the check box to remove financial access to all the member's accounts.

External Movement

Indicates if the online banking user has external movement access to the accounts of the member listed in the Account Access Permissions grid. For individuals added by member number, the External Movement check box is automatically selected. For individuals added by tax ID, the External Movement check box is automatically selected if:

  • the member listed is the primary member/online banking user
  • the member was linked by taxpayer ID and the account relationship of the online banking user to the member's account is Authorized Signer, Executor, Power of Attorney, Joint Owner, or Trustee.

The Financial Access check box must be selected.

Clearing the check box to remove external movement access to all the member's accounts.

Permission Details

Click the Permission Details button to display the Permissions dialog box and modify the account access permissions.

Demographic Update

Indicates if the online banking user can make demographic updates to the accounts of the member listed in the Account Access Permissions grid.

For individuals added by member number, the Demographic Update check box is not automatically selected.

For individuals added by tax ID, the Demographic Update check box is automatically selected if:

  • the member listed is the primary member/online banking user
  • the member was linked by taxpayer ID and the account relationship of the online banking user to the member's account is Authorized Signer, Executor, Power of Attorney, Joint Owner, or Trustee.

Changes to the Demographic Update check box will be reflected in non-financial history using a two-digit code:

  • 00 – Primary Member, User ID is allowed to update member demographics (Demographic Update checked)
  • 01 – Primary Member, User ID is not allowed to update member demographics (Demographic Update not checked)
  • 02 – Include Member, not the owner of the TIN if a TIN is used for linking the User ID, User ID is allowed to update member demographics (Demographic Update checked)
  • 99 – Include Member, not the owner of the TIN if a TIN is used for linking the User ID, User ID is not allowed to update member demographics (Demographic Update not checked)
  • 03 – Include Member, owner of the TIN when a TIN is used for linking the User ID, User ID is allowed to update member demographics (Demographic Update checked)
  • 98 – Include Member, owner of the TIN when a TIN is used for linking the User ID, User ID is not allowed to update member demographics (Demographic Update not checked)

Clear the check box to remove demographic update access to the member's information.

Suppress Alerts

If selected, Portico will suppress the electronic notice information in the alert file, and the Virtual Branch user will not receive an alert when an electronic notice is produced. Members can also choose to turn off alerts via Virtual Branch.

For individuals added by member number, the Don’t send notification for eNotices check box is not automatically selected.

For individuals added by tax ID, the Don’t send notification for eNotices check box is not automatically selected if:

  • the member listed is the primary member/online banking user
  • the member was linked by taxpayer ID and the account relationship of the online banking user to the member's account is Authorized Signer, Executor, Power of Attorney, Joint Owner, or Trustee.

Notifications and Alerts

Click the Notification & Alerts button to display the Member Notifications and Alerts dialog box for the member.

Click New to create a new online banking ID.

Click Copy to create a new online banking user ID by copying an existing user ID.

Click Save to save your changes.

Click Cancel to close the window without saving your changes.
