ACH Online Fees

How do I? and Field Help

If you are working multiple days at one time, the fees will appear in date order, then member number order. If a member has exceptions on multiple days, the member can appear on multiple pages.

Online fees are posted in reverse order, compared to fees posted in the back-office cycle. The back-office cycle posts zero fee amounts, then maximum fee amounts. Online fee processing posts maximum fee amounts, then zero fee amounts. When you process online fees, a line item for each exception item will be generated in general ledger history and reports. Fees posted in the back-office cycle generate a single line item with the fee total.

You can post fees online, real-time as soon as you finish working the exceptions. Tellers and members will be able to see the fees and the actual available account balance on the same day the return is processed, instead of having to wait until the next morning after the nightly back-office cycle. Posting the fees should be the last step in working the exception items. Once the fees are posted, you cannot make changes to the items on the ACH Exception Items window.

The Online Fees grid displays the exception items that you recently finished working and the associated fees. Click the Export icon to export the grid contents to Microsoft Excel. Click More to view additional fee records for the run date.
