Completing an Issuer Notification
The Issuer Notification tab lets you process a guest member’s loan application, and notify the guest member's credit union of address changes, fees and documents.

The Member Information group box displays the guest member's name, taxpayer ID number, the joint name associated with the guest member's account, and the guest member's address and phone number. For Portico issuer credit unions, the member's statement name (25 characters) will appear. Portico partially masks taxpayer ID numbers. An eye indicator will appear within the field to indicate that you have permission to view the taxpayer ID number. You can click inside the field to show the taxpayer ID. When you tab out of the field, the taxpayer ID will be masked. The taxpayer ID will remain unmasked as long as the field has focus. No special security permissions are required to view the taxpayer ID number for a guest member. To view the taxpayer ID number for a member of your credit union, you must be assigned to the Portico – User Can View/Maintain TIN security group or a credit union-defined security group with the Portico – User Can View TIN permission or the Portico – User Can Maintain TIN permission.
Click Notes to display the Member Notes dialog box.
Click Joint Info to display the Joint Member dialog box.
Select the following options in the Issuer Notification group box.
- Click the Loan Interview option to notify the issuer credit union that the guest member has submitted a loan application. Enter the loan amount in the Amount field (Length: 7 numeric including decimal) and click Submit. Then, fax the loan application to the issuer and wait for approval. LN1 will appear in the QUAL column on the Shared Service Center Settled Activity Report 924.
- Once the loan is approved, you can send a loan close request to the guest member’s credit union. Click the Loan Close option to notify the issuer credit union that a loan has been closed for the guest member. Then, click Submit. LN2 will appear in the QUAL column on the 924 Report.
- To send a disbursement request for the approved loan amount to the guest member’s credit union, click the Loan Disburse option to notify the issuer credit union that a loan amount was disbursed to the guest member. Then, enter the disbursal amount in the Amount field (Length: 7 numeric including decimal) and click Submit. LN3 will appear in the QUAL column on the 924 Report.
- Click the Address Change Notification option to notify the issuer credit union that you performed an address change for the guest member. Then, click Submit. ADD will appear in the QUAL column on the 924 Report.
- Click the Fee Notification option and enter the fee amount in the Amount field (Length: 7 numeric including decimal) to notify the issuer credit union that you charged the guest member the fee amount specified. Then, click Submit. FEE will appear in the QUAL column on the 924 Report.
- Click the Document Notification option to notify the issuer credit union that you generated a requested document for the guest member. Then, click Submit. NTF will appear in the QUAL column on the 924 Report.
