Online network ATMs instantly update member accounts when a transaction occurs, allowing members to access the true current balances of their accounts. To use online network ATMs, the credit union must join an ATM network; however, the credit union is not required to purchase an ATM. Network ATMs provide 24-hour daily access to credit union members. The Fiserv Card Services switch routes the online network ATM and point-of-sale (POS) transactions to Electronic Funds Transfer for the Portico system.
The following processing features are available through Portico’s online network ATMs:
- Shared Service Center support. Shared Service Centers allow credit union members to access account balances and complete transactions at service centers convenient to where they live and work.
- Card expiration at the member level.
- Share, share draft, and money market access at the member level.
- Open account relationship (OAR) processing enables credit unions to provide members with ATM access to accounts, such as holiday club, in addition to the primary share and share draft accounts. Credit unions interested in online OAR processing with online network ATMs must contact their Fiserv Card Services representative.
- Two ATM receipt balances. Both available and actual ATM balances may be provided for withdrawal, deposit, and balance inquiry transactions. However, the information reflected on the receipt is governed and provided by you and your ATM network.
- Share type accessed for share, share draft, and money market account transactions at the member level.
- Line-of-credit (LOC) advance access at the member level.
- Online fee processing for ATM and Point-of-Sale (POS) transactions.
- Automatic card re-issue program.
- Automatic closing and re-opening of network ATM $tellers.
- Daily limit on ATM withdrawals at the credit union or member level.
- Store-and-forward transactions are stored on Portico during extended services mode (ESM) to allow more efficient processing. ESM occurs during the back-office cycle and enables 24-hour, online access.
- Hot card support by host and Fiserv Card Services switch.
- Offline stand-in authorization if Portico is unable to authorize ATM transaction activity.
- Complete audit trail.
- To Host Maintenance provides real-time messaging from Fiserv Card Services to Portico. When updates to the Card Status, Capture Card, Expiration Date, and PIN Offset fields occur outside of Portico (triggered by credit union users or cardholders updating these fields via Client Workstation, IVR, eNFACT, or through the ATM), Fiserv Card Services will initiate an EPOC ISO 8583 1300 level message to update these fields in Portico.
Portico® provides automated card file maintenance through interfaces to Fiserv Card Services Client Workstation and the FIS CO-OP AP (Authorization Processor) Application.
